A Writer's Place invites you to discover the juicy places in your creativity and in your expressions.
discover – (v) to perceive, recognize, behold, catch a glimpse of, unearth, or ken. To devise, design or invent. To learn of.
In discovering our creative voice, we behold our authentic selves, and sometimes we unearth a nugget of truth that has lain secreted for years in our inner hearts. A Writer’s Place is a container for discovery of your voice, and is a support for your journey. Being supported emotionally and intellectually in our creative process helps us burst open and become fully articulated in our expressions, whether they are written works, visual creations, musical creations or patterns of an authentic and inspired life.

In the Fall of 2008:
Unlocking Your Heritage:
Discovering Yourself through Autobiographical Journaling
Writing our life stories is a revealing journey into our personal history, helping us to articulate why we are who we are. Unlocking Your Heritage is a unique twist on autobiographical journaling. Moving away from strict factual accounting, we will be paying more attention to the circumstances in our lives that appear fateful, the people who influenced us and shaped us for good or ill, pivotal events in our lives, and the simple interplay of our personalities in our daily lives.
Though therapeutic to the writer, opening your heritage through journaling is a priceless gift to give to other members in your family, a living memorial to deceased loved ones, and a thoughtful and intimate revelation of who you are.
Unlocking Your Heritage is open to all – no previous writing experience necessary. Two separate workshops are coming this fall. Take one or both. Neither class requires previous writing experience and can be helpful in stimulating the creative process, taking an inventory of your life, or as a jumping off point for other forms of writing.

Writing Your Life Experience:
Your Own Healing Story through Personal Journaling
An E-course at www.thehealingbridge.org
Through our personal journeys of healing, we each contribute something unique to the world. Writing about our lives, our struggles and triumphs, our insights and lessons, and the healing we have experienced helps us organize and solidify our own wisdom. Writing also gives us a platform from which we can reach out and share our experiences with others. Our shared healing and hope creates community as we build bridges between individuals.
"Our stories are healing."

In this course, you will be guided through your own experience of the mind, body and spirit connection through personal writing. Our purpose is not to be exhaustive, but rather to spark a process of writing and examination that will hopefully become a valuable reference and tool for your continued growth. Our overall goal is to:
- Create an expressive timeline of your life
- Examine your personal healing process
- Explore the interconnection of seemingly disparate
parts of life
- Identify your sources of healing
- Learn to use journaling as an ongoing healing tool
- Develop an on-line community to support your creative and healing process
